A viagem da minhoca

   Uma minhoca estava desiludida com sua vida terrena, vendeu tudo o que possuía, foi até a igreja do corvo, deu seu dinheiro e disse a ele que queria ir para o céu. O corvo ergueu a minhoca com seu bico, a levou  até o último galho de uma árvore bem alta e explicou:

   -Assim que você pagar a próxima parcela um pássaro pegará você com o bico e te levará até o céu.

   Mas a minhoca não tinha mais nada:

   -E se eu não puder pagar a próxima parcela?

   E então a girafa respondeu:

   -Nesse caso, o mesmo pássaro te pegará com o bico, te comerá e te devolverá transformada à terra.

   A minhoca desiludiu-se novamente e disse:

   -Pelo menos minha viagem de volta será gratuita.

The trip of the earthworm

  A disillusioned earthworm with her earthly life, sold all she owned, went to the raven’s church, gave her money and said to him that she wanted to go to the sky. The raven lifted the earthworm in his bill, took her until the last branch of a tall tree and explained:     

   -After you pay the next installment, another bird will catch you in his bill and will take you until the sky.

   But the earthworm didn’t have anything more:

    -And if I can’t to pay the next installment?

   And then the raven answered:

   -In that case, the same bird will catch you in his bill, will eat you and will return you transformed to the earth.

  The earthworm disillusioned again and said:

   -At least my trip back will be free.
